While injuries have haunted the Habs, they at least allowed the emergence of several games from a very promising young player in Joshua Roy.

The 20-year-old Quebec forward has certainly made an excellent impression on the team's management for the next season.
He has proven that he belongs in the NHL, but also that he can take on significant responsibilities on an important line at his young age.
Despite his good performances, a major decision looms over him within the Tricolore, and it could happen at any moment.

A return to Laval confirmed as early as today for Joshua Roy?

The excellent journalist Marc-Antoine Godin from Radio-Canada, who covers the Canadiens, has just raised a strong possibility that could be confirmed soon regarding Roy.
« The Canadiens are leaving Friday for a very long trip. With 2 extra forwards, it would make sense to take this opportunity to send Joshua Roy to Laval. Except he is having another good game tonight. The line he forms with Armia and Newhook is the CH's best after 2 periods. » - Marc-Antoine Godin

What adds even more weight to this possibility mentioned by Godin is the fact that Anthony Marcotte, the commentator for the Rocket's games, has also chimed in, suggesting the same thing.
« Your intuition is right. In my opinion, that's where it's happening. Otherwise, it will only be at the end of the season. Let's send Struble right away too. » - Anthony Marcotte

With Colin White returning to the lineup, despite the Quebecois's excellent performances, there are currently two healthy forwards sitting out.
Although I love seeing Roy succeed on the second line with Alex Newhook and Joel Armia, it would be more beneficial for him to return to Laval for the end of the season, to play important games in every match, with the aim for the Rocket to qualify for the playoffs.
His return there, combined with the upcoming arrivals of David Reinbacher and possibly Adam Engstrom, will greatly help the success of the farm team for the end of the season.
