During the game between the Laval Rocket and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the AHL last night, a very interesting scene involving the young Arber Xhekaj occurred. Indeed, it was quickly evident that the defenseman is doing everything to impress the Canadiens' management, as he surely wishes to be the next player recalled by the organization.

Instead of constantly dropping the gloves, the giant is using his presence and imposing stature to intimidate opposing players night after night. Although only a short video surfaced on social networks, we could see the impact that an Arber Xhekaj can bring to a team.
Two players from the Penguins, namely Dmitri Samorukov and Jagger Joshua, were constantly targeting Lias Andersson, who has just returned from a significant injury. Number 72, therefore, promptly paid a visit to these players. He seemed to send them a very strong message as the two players remained very quiet afterwards.
Wow! We love it!
Thanks to his robust style of play and his ability to knock out his opponents, Arber Xhekaj has quickly made a name for himself in the hockey world, so much so that mere words can have a major effect on the actions of his opponents.
Clearly, the main interested party has understood the message from his bosses, continuing his development without taking unnecessary penalties.
He has also clearly demonstrated improvements in his defensive play, becoming a much more complete player in the recent games of the Laval Rocket. Additionally, the Sheriff is able to contribute offensively, having scored one goal and three assists (four points) in seven games with the CH's farm club.
We should not be surprised if the defenseman gets a call-up to the Canadiens in the near future!
Here is the sequence in question:
