The Montreal Canadiens have drafted well in recent years and could soon reap the rewards of their work. Several young players could break out.
Among them is, of course, young defenseman Lane Hutson. He really impressed everyone towards the end of the season with just two games played.
The question now is whether he will start the next season with the Canadiens in the NHL.
If it were up to Bob Hartley to make the decision, he wouldn't hesitate. That's what he recently stated in his column on BPM Sports and RDS:
"I saw a bit of Johnny Gaudreau in his first game with the Calgary Flames. He had played the last game of our season in Vancouver. I saw Johnny Gaudreau, but on the blue line. He's a dancer, so skillful, such abrupt changes of direction... Wingers will have a hard time covering him. It's going to be a nightmare, covering Lane Hutson! On the offensive side, there's no doubt in my mind that he can play in the NHL. He met my expectations." - Bob Hartley
