Justin Barron could be traded in the coming days, potentially to the Edmonton Oilers.

According to Frank Seravalli, Stan Bowman is seeking a defenseman like Barron, which has caught the attention of the Oilers.
Allan Mitchell notes that Barron is an interesting long-term acquisition due to his speed and offensive skills, although he is a right-handed defenseman.
For the Canadiens, young talents like Logan Mailloux and David Reinbacher are seen as more promising future prospects than Barron.
Kent Hughes is dealing with an excess of defensemen and needs to make room for younger players, including Mailloux and Hutson, with Reinbacher expected next year and possibly Engstrom to follow.
Therefore, Barron, along with Jayden Struble, could be at risk, and the likelihood of a trade seems increasingly probable, especially after his training camp in Montreal.
