It's rare to see a player's agent publicly step forward to deliver a message, but that's exactly what has just happened with the representative of Canadiens goalie, Jake Allen.
"A GOALIE WILL HAVE TO BE TRADED": JAKE ALLEN'S AGENT WANTS ACTION AND MAKES HIS REQUEST TO KENT HUGHES
During an appearance on Jean-Charles Lajoie's show on TVA Sports, agent Allain Roy made the following statement:
"Whether it's Jake or someone else, a goalie will have to be traded", the three-goalie situation in front of the Canadiens' net is coming to an end anyway.
He is thus directly asking Kent Hughes to find a solution to the intolerable three-goalie situation that has lasted too long with the Tricolore.
He also adds another interesting comment by mentioning that there should be a resolution to this three-goalie situation soon.
"Jake is a good professional, but mentally, the three-goalie situation and hearing rumors, like the one with the Avalanche last week, is not easy for him.
It's quite frustrating, but we will find a solution by the end of the season.
If not in March, then this summer."
This confirms what Hughes has also mentioned a few days ago, stating that he would definitively resolve the situation by the next season.
Nevertheless, we have proof that a three-goalie situation is not viable for a team, and Jake Allen, possibly more than Cayden Primeau, suffers the adverse effects of this unsustainable rotation.
