Martin St. Louis Surprises Fans With Statement at Practice
During his press conference after the team's practice, Martin St-Louis made a surprising announcement that caught many off guard.
St-Louis Has Not Yet Decided on His Starting Goalie for Tomorrow
As surprising as it may seem, even though Jake Allen was the goalie in the last game and one might have expected Samuel Montembeault to be the default choice in net for tomorrow, the coach claims he has not made his decision on who will start against the Buffalo Sabres.
It must be said that neither Allen nor Montembeault looked good in their last starts, with the Quebec goaltender conceding seven goals against the New York Rangers last Thursday.
Technically, it's Cayden Primeau who had the most recent best performance among the three, even if he had an easy night against the Anaheim Ducks, with a shutout.
It seems that the head coach of the Canadiens is hesitating between using Primeau on Wednesday and Montembeault on Thursday against the Penguins, or vice versa.
We will have to wait for the official verdict tomorrow, after the team's practice.
