Martin St-Louis is in his rookie season as a head coach in the NHL with the Canadiens.
The former Lightning star will start his third full season at the helm of the Canadiens.
The NHL website surveyed several journalists to rank the top coaches in the league.
Jon Cooper of the Lightning ranks first. He is followed by veteran Paul Maurice, who finally secured his first Stanley Cup with the Panthers. Bruce Cassidy of the Golden Knights completes the top three.
Fans of the Canadiens are wondering where Martin St-Louis stands. It seems he is not highly regarded across the NHL, with his name placed at 23rd.
Of course, St-Louis has limited experience and has been leading a rebuilding team so far.
However, some observers feel that this ranking is rather harsh given the work Martin St-Louis has been doing with the Canadiens.
