The Columbus Blue Jackets have never been known as a legendary or successful organization in the NHL.
This has been the case almost since the team from Ohio joined the Bettman circuit.
Patrik Laine, arriving from the Jackets, was quite unproductive in Columbus. That's why the Canadiens were able to acquire him at a low cost.
He will therefore be given a chance with the Canadiens for the upcoming season. Laine will be in a more advantageous position in Montreal, that's clear.
The Blue Jackets seem to be a graveyard for some talented players like Laine.
