Is it over for prospect Filip Mesar with the Canadiens?

Filip Mesar was the Canadiens' second pick in the first round in 2022, but his development has not met expectations.
The Slovak forward appears to have stalled in his progress over the past season. At 19 years old, he has been far from dominant in the OHL. He was good, but not exceptional.
There are concerns that he might not be the hardest worker.
His name frequently comes up in trade rumors. In a column for BPM Sports, Mathias Brunet made an important and worrying statement about the Canadiens' prospect.
He believes Mesar deserves a real chance to prove himself, but he is almost convinced that Mesar will not establish himself as a high-potential offensive player in the NHL.
The close friend of Juraj Slafkovsky may well be surpassed by players like Owen Beck, Florian Xhekaj, and Oliver Kapanen.
