Logan Mailloux gives a massive surprise to the media
During a recent press conference, Montreal Canadiens prospect Logan Mailloux made a rather unexpected move that speaks volumes about his personality.
Indeed, as you know, the defenseman is a native of Belle River, Ontario, where English is the mother tongue. However, he still had the opportunity to take French courses during his academic career, and he manages quite well in the language.
However, the 31st overall pick in 2021 is much more comfortable expressing himself in English. Despite this, knowing how important Quebec culture is here, he decided to answer journalists' questions by speaking exclusively in French.
Wow! This is a very nice gesture and it certainly does not go unnoticed!
Although he has some basic knowledge of French, he could have easily decided to respond to the media in English. After all, it's not always easy for a rookie to face the music and confront the many journalists. Despite this reality, he makes an effort to speak in French, even if it's undoubtedly more complicated for him.
Hats off to him for this wonderful initiative!

Selected in the first round of the draft three years ago, Logan Mailloux was making his debut in the professional ranks this season. The defenseman quickly managed to stand out with his offensive skills, boasting an impressive total of 14 goals and 29 assists (43 points) in 67 games with the CH's farm team, the Laval Rocket.
It's really impressive that a 20-year-old defenseman is able to achieve such success in his first year in the American League. There's no doubt that the Canadiens have a very promising prospect in Logan Mailloux, and we're eager to see him make the jump to the NHL.
