Shocking Statement From Canadiens Insider: Is It Over for Cayden Primeau?

Here's a bombshell statement that is likely not going to sit well with many fans of the Montreal Canadiens.
During his latest show, Jean-Charles Lajoie did not mince words in making bold assertions regarding the future of Cayden Primeau with the Canadiens.
Bluntly, he outright said that it would be over for the 24-year-old goalie with the organization.
If we haven't given up on him, why did we draft three goalies last year? Primeau, it's over. The organization doesn't want him anymore and doesn't know what to do with him. We're burning him badly." - Jean-Charles Lajoie
The host also added this to support his point:
He doesn't play enough. It was only his 12th start yesterday, it's not working. It's not enough." - Jean-Charles Lajoie
The end of Primeau in Montreal?
Frankly, I completely disagree with his statements.
Firstly, his point about the Canadiens drafting three goalies, which would validate the fact that the CH wants to get rid of him, is absolutely not valid.
On one hand, these goalies should not reach the NHL, if they do, for a good four to five years. Also, the team's management has learned from its mistakes and wanted to remedy the situation, after having seriously burnt themselves by not establishing any succession behind Carey Price during the 15 years he played with the Canadiens.
Secondly, I don't understand why JiC uses the argument that Primeau only got 12 starts to justify that he has no future with the club. It's the problem of the three-goalie system that affects the number of games played by the American goaltender, not the fact that the management wants to get rid of him.
If the organization really wanted nothing to do with him, as Lajoie suggests, they would have waived him a long time ago, taking a chance that he might not be claimed.
Primeau is only 24 years old, there are very few goalies of his age in the NHL who are established and dominant players. Development for this position takes time and most come into their own around 26 or 27 years old, which still leaves a lot of time for him to progress.
He needs to play games, of course, but since his arrival in the pros, he has had practically no stability, being shuffled back and forth within the organization.
Can we finally give him a real opportunity to prove himself over a complete and normal season before putting words in the mouths of the CH's management?
Once again, what a lack of patience from an "expert" who isn't even speculating, but uses terms indicating he has the absolute answer.
No, the Canadiens do not want to give up on Primeau, and no, it's not over for him in Montreal.
