A very big piece of information has just been revealed by the renowned insider David Pagnotta regarding a possible trade involving David Savard of the Canadiens.
Here is what he mentioned about a potential move involving him at the CH:
"The Montreal Canadiens remain engaged in trade discussions with several teams involving veteran defenseman David Savard." - David Pagnotta
He also adds that many people across the NHL would not be at all surprised to learn that the 33-year-old veteran could be traded by March 8th.
"Speaking to some people in the National Hockey League, outside of Montreal, no one would be surprised if [David] Savard was traded before the deadline. We'll see if a team can convince Montreal to part with him." - David Pagnotta
The market is buzzing and now that the sought-after defenseman Chris Tanev has been traded, the focus of some teams will shift more towards the Quebecois defenseman.
It will be interesting to see if Kent Hughes dares to move one of his best leaders in the locker room over the next few days.
