Canadiens Insiders Reveal Shocking Information on Arber Xhekaj's Future

Jean-Charles Lajoie has been on fire with controversial statements about the Habs this week, and he made another one regarding the robust 23-year-old defenseman.

According to the host, number 72 would be this year's Alexander Romanov, meaning he would be sacrificed over the summer by the Canadiens' management.

However, Lajoie wouldn't be the only one to believe this, as Tony Marinaro also added his two cents by mentioning that Xhekaj does not fit the type of player that Martin St-Louis likes.

This is likely to be a topic of conversation for a long time, especially since the Sheriff is greatly appreciated among the team's fans.

Nonetheless, I find it hard to believe that the Canadiens have no affection for the young defenseman. After all, they selected his younger brother Florian early in the 4th round of the last draft, who plays a style quite similar to Arber's.

This will be a situation to watch over the summer.
