The Montreal Canadiens are gearing up for the crucial free agency period. While some forwards have already signed, other interesting players will be available.

Regarding Marchessault, it's confirmed. According to Pierre LeBrun, the Conn Smythe Trophy winner will be free as a bird starting at noon.

It appeared that the Canadiens were interested in Patrick Kane's services before he extended his contract with the Red Wings. Could Marchessault be an option for the Habs?

The Quebecois forward just had his best career season with 42 goals, and he still has a lot of good hockey to offer an NHL franchise.
