Just minutes before the team's morning practice, the Montreal Canadiens announced rather concerning news to the CH fans.

Indeed, two players are missing once again as forward Jake Evans and defenseman Jayden Struble did not participate in the Tricolore's practice, both receiving treatments from the medical staff.
"Jake Evans and Jayden Struble will not participate in today's practice (treatment day)." - Montreal Canadiens

Although he played against the Arizona Coyotes last night, this announcement seems to indeed confirm that the 27-year-old center is currently hampered by a minor injury, as he is clearly not at 100%.
It is greatly hoped that it is not serious, as Martin St-Louis has little depth at the center position.
As for Jayden Struble, even though the organization mentioned that the defenseman should not be out for a long period of time, the 22-year-old has yet to participate in a practice since his injury sustained against the New Jersey Devils last Saturday.
Over the past few years, the Tricolore has not always been transparent regarding the health status of its players, and some are really starting to worry about the severity of Jayden Struble's injury.
One thing is certain, the defenseman has established himself as a key element in the Montreal defensive brigade this season, and his eventual return to play will be greatly beneficial for Martin St-Louis's men.
