A scene that occurred during last night's game against the Anaheim Ducks has gone viral, notably involving Arber Xhekaj.

As the robust defenseman dropped the gloves in the second period, very interesting images surfaced upon his return to the bench, and they speak volumes about the Sheriff's impact on the Canadiens.

Martin St-Louis makes a strong gesture towards Arber Xhekaj upon his return to the bench

As journalist Anthony Martineau from TVA Sports pointed out, the CH's number 72 received a triumphant welcome back from the penalty box, from the entire team, including the coaches.
"Arber Xhekaj, warmly welcomed by his teammates (and his coaches!) upon exiting the penalty bench after his fight.

A sequence that says a lot about the respect the CH locker room has for him."

- Anthony Martineau

Although some rumors mention that Xhekaj may not be Martin St-Louis's favorite on the Canadiens, the head coach also made a strong gesture towards his 23-year-old player.
The coach also expressed his support and left a few words of encouragement for the defenseman.
It's the kind of gesture that can certainly give Xhekaj confidence, at an important time when he needs it most to find his bearings with the Canadiens.
We love to see this from the team, but also from St-Louis. He's always there for his players, and it's something that's quite rare to see in the NHL coming from a coach.
