Major statement about Alexis Lafrenière, and it's officially underway
Alexis Lafrenière just had his best regular season in his career, and he's continuing in an extraordinary way in the NHL playoffs with the Rangers.
Alongside goaltender Igor Shesterkin, the Quebecois is clearly one of the Rangers' top performers during this NHL playoff season.
He has tallied 14 points, including 8 goals, at the most crucial time of the season. He's impressing everyone and proving in a beautiful way that the Rangers were right to wait and be patient with the first overall pick of the 2020 draft.
According to several observers, Rangers stars like Artemi Panarin, Mika Zibanejad, and even Chris Kreider should take inspiration from Lafrenière's play and follow the young Quebecois.
This is the opinion of Renaud Lavoie, and he shared this observation during his daily column at BPM Sports.
"Artemi Panarin: If you want inspiration, look at Alexis Lafrenière. Look at how he behaves every time he's on the ice. You know what? Your inspiration might just be a 22-year-old kid!"
Whether you like Renaud Lavoie or not, he's right.
