The Columbus Blue Jackets have just hired veteran Don Waddell, and the direction they could take in the draft could completely change.
The Jackets' situation is intriguing as we approach the NHL annual draft in Las Vegas at the end of June.
Drafting 4th overall, they could completely alter the Canadiens' fate.
During his appearance on Jeff Marek's show on Sportsnet, Don Waddell stated that finding scorers is more challenging than finding effective defenders for their territory.
In summary, Columbus could target and select a forward with the 4th overall pick. Ivan Demidov and Cayden Lindstrom might thus be drafted before the Canadiens' turn at 5th overall.
