Here are the two potential targets for the Canadiens in a trade like Kirby Dach
The Montreal Canadiens and Kent Hughes surprised everyone during the 2022 NHL Draft by making a major trade.
During the first round, the Canadiens' GM went to great lengths by trading Alexander Romanov for the Islanders' 1st overall pick before sending that selection to the Blackhawks in exchange for Kirby Dach.
Unfortunately, the forward has been injured more often than not since joining the Canadiens.
With two first-round picks, many observers believe that Kent Hughes might be tempted to make a similar type of trade in Las Vegas.
Relevant David Ettedgui discussed potential targets for the Canadiens. The name Trevor Zegras came up, unsurprisingly, but also that of Alexander Holtz.
The 7th overall pick in 2020 has been slow to develop, and a fresh start would be beneficial for him.
He has undeniable offensive qualities and could be an interesting addition to Martin St-Louis's squad.
Stay tuned here and during the draft!
