Recently, it was revealed that Nick Suzuki turned down an offer from Hockey Canada to join the Canadian team for the upcoming World Championship.
Some were disappointed to see that the Canadiens' captain would not participate, considering that it could count against him for the Four Nations Confrontation in 2025, and for the 2026 Olympic Games.
Fortunately, former NHL head coach Bob Hartley affirmed that number 14 of the CH is in good standing with Canadian decision-makers, and that this decision will not harm his potential candidacy.
Returning to Suzuki, we have just learned from his girlfriend, the stunning Caitlin Fitzgerald, that the couple has taken a well-deserved warm vacation after a long season.
From the looks of her photos, one can easily understand the Canadiens player's decision to take some time for himself rather than heading to Czechia for more than two weeks of additional hockey.
Captain Suzuki had the best offensive season of his career, finishing the campaign with an impressive tally of 77 points, including 33 goals.
This production is the best season by a Canadiens player since 2008, when a certain Alex Kovalev totaled 84 points in 82 games.
When we say these vacations are well-deserved for him, here is the proof.
