A Former Member of the Montreal Canadiens' Affiliates Takes on a New Role within the Organization.
Luc-Olivier Blain will bring his experience to the Trois-Rivières Lions as an assistant coach.
He previously played for the Rocket during the 2017-2018 season and had earlier played for the Ice Caps of Saint-John before the Canadiens' AHL affiliate moved to Laval.
Blain also has European experience and is well-acquainted with players from both the university and QMJHL levels.
With a strong background, he is well-positioned to support head coach Ron Choules behind the bench of the Lions. The ECHL franchise based in Trois-Rivières has made several notable acquisitions in recent weeks.
It's a return to familiar territory for Luc-Olivier Blain, though in a new role.
