With Patrik Laine's arrival, many fans and experts are speculating about what the Canadiens' second line might look like.

Assuming that Cole Caufield, Juraj Slafkovsky, and Nick Suzuki will make up the first line, the composition of the second line is generating much discussion.
Patrik Laine should clearly be a part of this line. Kirby Dach is reportedly back to full health and is expected to be used as the center.
Another frequently mentioned name is Alex Newhook, but Tony Marinaro has put forward a somewhat controversial suggestion on his new show on BPM Sports.
Marinaro proposes giving Josh Anderson a legitimate chance to form a line with Laine and Dach. He believes this opportunity could help Anderson regain his confidence before it's completely lost.
Anderson had an extremely disappointing season last year, with only 20 points, and his $5.5 million annual salary is a burden for the Canadiens.
Nevertheless, Anderson does have the size and speed to play on a second line. Martin St-Louis also likes to distribute his talent across the top-9.
Thus, Alex Newhook could be assigned to center the third line. We'll see what happens at training camp.
