In less than three weeks, the NHL draft is fast approaching, scheduled for June 28th and 29th in Las Vegas.
Currently, the top prospects are in Buffalo, New York, for the NHL 2024 Scouting Combine, taking place from June 3rd to 8th.
This event allows teams to assess players through various physical tests and also provides the opportunity to meet prospects, ask them questions, and even invite them to dinner.
According to Anthony Martineau, the Montreal Canadiens recently shared a meal with forward Tij Iginla, contrasting with the previous year when no such meetings took place. This year, with a potentially more unpredictable draft, Kent Hughes' team must make decisions quickly based on the movements of other teams.
Thus, unlike last year, they have decided to meet with three prospects: Cayden Lindstrom, Sam Dickinson, and Tij Iginla.
