As trade rumors continue to swirl around the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes may have already found the sought-after top-6 forward.

Alex Newhook, acquired from the Colorado Avalanche, has shown promise with the Canadiens.
At just 23 years old, Newhook has demonstrated impressive potential despite a season disrupted by injury. With 15 goals and 34 points in 55 games, he could exceed expectations and produce more than 60 points next season.
Adam Proteau of The Hockey News notes that Newhook, who played mostly with average line mates, could make a significant impact when paired with more talented teammates.
