The Montreal Canadiens have heavily invested in the draft, and it is clearly paying off.

The Athletic has published a list of the 155 top players under 22 in the NHL, and 8 players or future players from the Montreal Canadiens are featured.
This makes them one of the best-represented teams in the Bettman circuit. The highest-ranked Canadiens player is Juraj Slafkovsky at 15th place.
The first overall pick in 2022 had a breakout finish to last season, and his potential still seems far from fully realized. This is very promising.
Also included on the list are Ivan Demidov, Guhle, Reinbacher, Hutson, and even Mailloux.
This demonstrates that Kent Hughes, Jeff Gorton, and their scouting team have done an excellent job in recent years since they took over.
Here is The Athletic's list:

1. Connor Bedard - (Blackhawks)
2. Tim Stutzle - (Senators)
3. Macklin Celebrini - (Sharks)
4. Adam Fantilli - (Blue Jackets)
5. Leo Carlsson - (Ducks)
6. Luke Hughes - (Devils)
7. Matvei Michkov - (Flyers)
8. Artyom Levshunov - (Blackhawks)
9. Matty Beniers - (Kraken)
10. Carter Yakemchuk - (Senators)
15. Juraj Slafkovsky - (Canadiens)
17. Ivan Demidov - (Canadiens)
61. Kaiden Guhle - (Canadiens)
69. David Reinbacher - (Canadiens)
87. Lane Hutson - (Canadiens)
99. Justin Barron - (Canadiens)
118. Michael Hage - (Canadiens)
120. Logan Mailloux - (Canadiens)
