NHL nearly screws Juraj Slafkovsky out of milestone point

The NHL confirmed a significant change regarding the first goal scored by the Montreal Canadiens, which had initially been credited to Juraj Slafkovsky.
Ultimately, that goal was removed from the Slovak's record, and Kaiden Guhle was credited with the goal. Although it was believed that Slafkovsky had deflected the puck to beat the Kraken's goalie, the league decided that was not the case after reviewing the sequence.
Previously, this NHL modification had a significant impact on some interesting facts involving the 2022 first overall pick, including his streak of games with at least one point.
«8 points in 7 games... respectable?» - Montreal Canadiens
Also, this point would have also allowed him to tie Mario Tremblay's record for the most points by a teenager in a single season in the history of the Montreal Canadiens.
Therefore, this change had a notable repercussion on Slafkovsky's statistical achievements, but the 19-year-old had not had his last word and managed to make up for it later on the third goal of his team with an assist on Nick Suzuki's goal.
«With an assist on Nick Suzuki's goal, Juraj Slafkovsky (Habs) tied Mario Tremblay (in 1974-75) for the most points by a teenager in a season in the history of the Montreal Canadiens, and he extended his point streak to 7 games!» - Priyanta Emrith
Since Juraj won't celebrate his 20th birthday until March 30 and the Canadiens have two games to play by then, he will have the chance to take this record for himself in the rich history of the franchise.
