The Canadiens will soon be back to work. Before the main training camp opens, there will be a rookie camp in a few days.

The organization's top prospects will be closely watched by the management and will also participate in the "Prospect Showdown" against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
One young player who is increasingly standing out is Oliver Kapanen, a 2nd-round pick from 2021.
The forward has made significant progress in his overall game and had an impressive tournament at the last World Championship with Finland.
This summer, Kapanen signed his first professional contract with the Canadiens, but he also inked an agreement with a professional team in Sweden, where he will play under the guidance of his father, the general manager.
His coach will be former NHL star Olli Jokinen. Due to this contract in Sweden, Kapanen will not be able to participate in the rookie camp.
He will attend the official Canadiens camp, but if he is cut, he will not be eligible to play for the Laval Rocket.
Therefore, Kapanen is expected to play in Sweden, as expected. It would have been interesting to see him alongside the organization's other prospects.
More and more, the versatile forward is being discussed as a potential interesting player for the Canadiens' third line in the not-so-distant future.
Kapanen might play two seasons in Sweden under Jokinen before making his entry into North America. At that point, he could fight fiercely for a spot with the Canadiens or, if not, with the Laval Rocket.
