The General Manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, announced on Wednesday that the team had agreed to a six-season extension (2025-2026 to 2030-2031) worth $33.3 million with defenseman Kaiden Guhle. The deal will earn him an average annual salary of $5.55 million.
Guhle played 70 games with the Canadiens in 2023-2024, recording six goals and 16 assists, along with 56 penalty minutes. The Edmonton, Alberta native ranked second on the team with 178 blocked shots and third with an average ice time of 20:51 per game (minimum of five games played).
