If the first line composed of Nick Suzuki, Cole Caufield, and Juraj Slafkovsky has been simply dominant for a few games, unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the rest of the lineup. Indeed, in the last three games, the new top trio at the Canadiens has accumulated 14 of the 20 points amassed by forwards.

Although it's frankly interesting and especially very encouraging to see that this combination has scored 14 points in just three games, it's very alarming to see that only six other forwards were able to make it onto the scoresheet during the same period.
However, it appears that head coach Martin St-Louis can count on offensive reinforcement for the game against the New York Rangers tonight. Indeed, Brendan Gallagher has officially served his five-game suspension and can therefore rejoin the Montreal Canadiens lineup.
What excellent news for our little warrior!
Returning to his team's practice yesterday morning, CH's number 11 shared his feelings about the dangerous check he applied to Adam Pelech of the Islanders. He notably admitted that he had contacted the defenseman to make sure he was okay, confessing he was very happy to see that the latter was back in the game.

Surprisingly, it was his first suspension since joining the NHL, but Gallagher nonetheless assured reporters that he did not expect such an incident to happen again in the future.
Clearly, the veteran of the Tricolore seems to have learned a good lesson!
The Canadiens' young defenseman, Kaiden Guhle, seemed particularly happy to know that his teammate would finally be making a return to the game. He mentioned that his intensity and energy were aspects that had been greatly missed by the team during his absence.
"He's out of 'jail' and we're happy he's back. It's always nice to have a guy like him who plays so hard and brings grit and toughness to your team - something we've really missed and you always want to have on your team." - Kaiden Guhle

It will be interesting to see how Martin St-Louis wishes to integrate him into his lineup, but it wouldn't be surprising if a player like Michael Pezzetta or Jesse Ylonen has to sit out and watch the game from the press box at Madison Square Garden.
