An excellent surprise awaited the Montreal Canadiens fans a few minutes before the team's morning practice.
Indeed, after a few light sessions last week, Kirby Dach was back on the ice, and for the first time with full gear. Clearly, number 77 continues to make progress in his rehabilitation!

This significant progress seems to indicate that the center player is indeed on a mission, as he would certainly like to return to play a few games before the end of the 2023-2024 campaign.
It is recalled that during his press conference on Sunday, Kirby Dach refused to write off the current season, indicating that he would like to beat the doctors' prognosis that his season was officially over.
Every time you're injured, you're motivated to come back. You want to push your timeline and be ready to return to play as soon as possible. Personally, I take it one day at a time, one step at a time. So far, it's going very well. I feel good. It's nice to be able to put the skates on again and jump on the ice." - Kirby Dach
Could Renaud Lavoie, who had confirmed that Dach would not return to play this year, have spoken too soon?
One thing is for sure, the 3rd overall pick in 2019 is making progress, and it's certainly a very good sign for a possible return to play! Let's just say it would do a lot for his morale to be able to play 2-3 games before the summer period!
