Since joining the Montreal Canadiens in February 2022 as a special advisor, Vincent Lecavalier appears to be moving into a more influential role.
Although he initially took the position to stay close to his family and pursue his passion, Lecavalier is frequently seen alongside the team's management, including during the draft in Las Vegas.
Recently, he is said to have been involved in the hiring of Pascal Vincent as head coach of the Laval Rocket.
According to Maxime Truman of *DansLesCoulisses*, Lecavalier may soon be appointed assistant general manager, a role he was previously considered for before his recruitment.
At 44, Lecavalier could be looking toward a future as a general manager, potentially even to succeed Kent Hughes in the near future. An official announcement may be imminent.
