TVA Sports has highlighted five intriguing names who could receive professional tryouts from the Montreal Canadiens.
For those unfamiliar with PTOs, this is a process that allows teams to test players without any prior commitment.
Among the interesting candidates for the Canadiens are several forwards.
First, Samuel Blais, known for his physical play and his Stanley Cup win with the St. Louis Blues in 2019, could strengthen Montreal's fourth line.
Dominik Kubalik, despite frequent team changes, boasts a powerful shot and offensive potential.
Nick Cousins, who has previously played for the Canadiens and recently won the Stanley Cup with the Panthers, could bring added aggression to the team.
Tyler Johnson, with two Stanley Cups and a solid recent offensive performance, is a surprising option.
Finally, James van Riemsdyk, despite being 35, could be useful on the power play if he is in good shape.
