After a bitter 7-2 loss last Sunday, where boos were heard in the Bell Centre and where frustration was palpable among the players, it was a complete turnaround last night against the Ducks.
The atmosphere was festive with a dazzling performance from the Canadiens. We heard "Ole Ole" chants among the fans present, and the players were in a very good mood upon their return to the locker room.
Regarding the first goal scored by the 26-year-old Quebec forward, Cole Caufield made the statement of the year to the media. When asked about Gignac's goal, as to whether the team was happy for their teammate, the diminutive forward had a hilarious response.
A very positive culture is being established, thanks to the excellent work of Martin St-Louis, and it's great to see how solid chemistry seems to be present among the players.
