Chris Johnston from TSN the Montreal Canadiens might acquire a second-line center to play with Patrik Laine.

This suggestion seems to overlook the fact that Kirby Dach, a 23-year-old talent, already holds that role, despite having played only part of the season last year.
"Will the Canadiens add a second-line center to play with Patrik Laine before the start of the season? They haven't been afraid to make bold decisions before!"
Dach, a tall center standing at 6 feet 4 inches, was selected in the first round in 2019 and had a solid performance last year with 38 points in 58 games.
Now fully recovered, Dach is often overlooked in discussions, raising questions about the recognition of his key role in the team by analysts.
It will be interesting to see if Kent Hughes decides to pursue another strong center through trades.
