Logan Mailloux follows Cole Caufield's lead and officially changes his number

Now, a second Canadiens player is making a number change on his Tricolore jersey.

Logan Mailloux is switching from #94 to #24 for the upcoming season.

The defenseman is currently at the NHLPA Rookie Showcase, and it was quickly noted that he now wears #24 on his Canadiens jersey.

Mailloux is joined by his teammate Lane Hutson at this event, which features the top prospects across the NHL.

This is a significant change for Mailloux, who had chosen #94 to reflect his birth year, 1994.

The Canadiens' first-round pick in 2021 will be aiming to secure a spot in the NHL after finishing the last part of the season with Martin St-Louis' team.
