In the last few minutes, under his role as General Manager of the Laval Rocket, Kent Hughes has officially agreed to a one-season contract with the 30-year-old veteran, Kasimir Kaskisuo.
He is notably a key element in the recent success of Jean-François Houle's team, compiling a record of five wins and only one loss. Moreover, he has recorded very impressive statistics with a goals-against average of 2.70 and a save percentage of 0.923.
It will be very interesting to see if the Canadiens will want to offer him a two-way deal at the end of the 2023-2024 campaign, as he could represent a very interesting insurance policy in case a goalie from the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge suffers an injury.
