After the confirmation of the signing of the very promising Lane Hutson, the general manager of the Montreal Canadiens, Kent Hughes, should be watched today for another announcement involving a big forward.

Indeed, Hutson's teammate at Boston University, Luke Tuch, is expected to sign his entry-level contract with the Canadiens in the coming hours.
« It will be very interesting to see what the Canadiens decide to do with Luke Tuch by this weekend.

Nothing is guaranteed, but I would be a little surprised if he is not signed by the end of the week.

The Canadiens do not have this combination of size and speed. » - Marco D'Amico

At 22 years old, Tuch is a big forward at 6 feet 3 inches and 210 pounds who was selected by the Canadiens in the 47th overall spot of the 2020 draft.
Playing a style that combines speed and toughness, the left winger had more offensive success this year with a haul of 10 goals and 30 points in 39 NCAA games.
The brother of Alex Tuch of the Buffalo Sabres has expressed his desire to move up to the professionals at the end of his fourth college season, and the Canadiens have until this summer to sign him to a contract.
If no agreement is confirmed between the two parties, Tuch will be free to sign wherever he wishes by becoming a free agent.
This will be a case to follow over the next few hours, especially since Kent Hughes hates to lose good assets for nothing.
