During a segment on TVA Sports last night, Renaud Lavoie revealed very interesting information regarding the management of goaltenders at the Canadiens. Indeed, the General Manager of the CH, Kent Hughes, has officially confirmed that the management no longer considers the option of placing Cayden Primeau on waivers.

It's now official!
This suggests that Martin St-Louis might have to keep three goaltenders in his lineup for a few more weeks, unless a trade occurs soon.
"I was talking to Kent a bit earlier today and his point is the following: Did Cayden Primeau lack rhythm in his first start against the Devils two weeks ago? And yesterday, after 16 days without playing? The answer is no." - Renaud Lavoie

Although the current situation is not ideal, Kent Hughes clearly admitted that he did not want to lose a goaltender like Cayden Primeau without getting anything in return. He firmly believes that the 24-year-old American has the potential to become a good NHL goaltender, which motivates him to keep three goaltenders in his lineup at the moment.
"Is it ideal? No. But one thing is certain, we want to protect an important asset in the team. We have invested in him over the past few years and we will not place him on waivers.

It's not going to happen. We know we have a young man with us who will continue to grow in this league. Let's be patient, a situation will eventually arise, whatever it may be." - Renaud Lavoie

However, the last sentence mentioned by the General Manager suggests that a trade could eventually be concluded. Given that several teams are currently looking for a goaltender, it would not be surprising if Kent Hughes is in contact with several teams to complete a trade.
If you were in the position of the management, what would you do?
