Artturi Lehkonen, the former Montreal Canadiens forward now with the Colorado Avalanche, was involved in a very concerning incident during the last Avalanche game. He crashed headfirst into the boards following a collision with Jamie Oleksiak.

Unable to return to the game, the Finnish player was immediately taken to the hospital for further evaluations, indicating that his injury could be quite serious.

Earlier today, Avalanche head coach Jared Bednar provided a worrying update on Lehkonen's health. He mentioned that the forward is not doing very well and that doctors are still trying to diagnose the exact nature of his injury, adding that he is expected to miss several weeks of action.
