There was a big surprise in the NHL waiver wire yesterday, as the Nashville Predators put Samuel Fagemo, a promising 23-year-old, on waivers.
As expected, the Swedish forward was claimed and will rejoin the team that drafted him in the second round in 2019, the Los Angeles Kings.
This season, in four games, he scored a goal, bringing his total to four points in 17 career NHL games.
Fagemo was a notable prospect, especially after scoring eight goals and 13 points in seven games at the 2020 World Junior Championship. He still has significant potential.
Since the Kings have waiver priority behind the Canadiens, this means that Kent Hughes decided to pass on claiming him.
