In the last few minutes, the Montreal Canadiens have announced some rather unexpected news.
Indeed, a few weeks after concluding a deal with RBC for their home jerseys, the Canadiens have now partnered with Air Canada for their white away jerseys.
"The Canadiens announce a multi-year agreement with Air Canada regarding their away game jerseys, as part of the NHL's jersey advertising program." - Montreal Canadiens
This means that the Air Canada logo will be present on the Canadiens' jerseys when the team travels to play games on opposing rinks.
It's somewhat ironic to note that a logo featuring a "Maple Leaf" will be included on the Blue-White-Red jersey. Moreover, this new advertisement will be added to the Canadiens' jerseys starting tonight.
"It's a privilege for us to maintain a long-standing relationship with the country's national carrier, Air Canada, and we are proud to formalize a partnership that will highlight the Air Canada brand every time we play on the road." - France Margaret Bélanger
