Major development with Jeremy Swayman, and the Bruins are in serious trouble
Jeremy Swayman has established himself as one of the top goaltenders in the NHL with the Bruins. Yet, he still does not have a contract for the upcoming season.
The Boston Bruins also traded
Linus Ullmark in recent months to clear the way for Swayman, as was the case during the recent playoffs.
However, Swayman knows he is among the elite and wants to be compensated accordingly. Rumors suggest he is seeking a multi-year deal with an annual salary close to or exceeding $10 million.
It has also been reported that the Bruins are not prepared to offer him such a salary. They are already burdened with several significant contracts.
According to the popular podcast Spittin' Chiclets, the Bruins have reportedly halted all discussions with their star goaltender.
The Boston-based team's management has allegedly not returned the Swayman camp's calls for the past three weeks. Strange...
The situation seems far from resolved as NHL training camps are about to open soon.
Jeremy Swayman remains firm in his stance. A resolution does not seem to be on the horizon...
