Massive Update Confirmed for David Reinbacher Tonight
Some very interesting news has just been confirmed within the Montreal Canadiens organization, with the official announcement that David Reinbacher will make his debut with the Laval Rocket tonight.
It was Anthony Marcotte who first reported the news, he will take the place of Mattias Norlinder in the defensive squad.
"Confirmed: David Reinbacher will be in the Rocket's lineup tonight paired with Tobie Bisson. Mattias Norlinder will be cut." - Anthony Marcotte
It's also interesting to learn that he will be paired with Tobie Bisson, who played on the 2nd pair in recent games. This means that the 19-year-old Austrian defenseman should get significant playing time right from the start in the AHL.

The fifth overall pick in the last draft spoke in the last few hours about his official arrival in the Canadiens organization and his debut in Laval.
Here is a summary of his interview:
"I'm finally here and I'm so excited." This is how the young defenseman David Reinbacher summed up his thoughts after his very first practice with the Laval Rocket.
Freshly arrived in Laval on Monday after a third professional season in Switzerland with EHC Kloten, the Montreal Canadiens' first-round pick in the 2023 draft met his new teammates on Tuesday at Place Bell before taking part in a training session.
"I think he had a good practice today," noted his head coach, Jean-François Houle. "It was a tough workout and he handled it well. I think he's in a good mindset and the guys all welcomed him warmly. We're happy to see him and happy to have him here."
The 19-year-old Austrian arrives as the Rocket is in the midst of a playoff race, with only 12 games remaining on their schedule. Well aware of this situation, Reinbacher is excited to take on this challenge.
"It's a great opportunity for me to finish the season on a high note," noted the right-hander. "I'm really excited to be here. It couldn't be better than this moment. I'm meeting all the guys I saw at training camp, we're having a good time and pushing for the playoffs."
So, his goals for the end of the season are to make his professional debut in North America, qualify for the playoffs, but also to learn and take away as much information "from every player and coach" within the Laval club.
As for adapting to Quebec life, Reinbacher will have little time outside the arena and bus in the coming days as the team will soon start a stretch of six games in nine days, but there are still some gaps in his schedule.
"We already have players who have invited him to dinner at their homes. We have a good group here and the guys will take good care of him off the ice,".
The Rocket will play their next home game on Friday, March 29, when they will face off against the Belleville Senators.
