Big news has just been confirmed within the Montreal Canadiens organization, just hours before a crucial moment of the season, regarding forward Joshua Roy.

The 20-year-old Quebecois forward could potentially reinforce the Laval Rocket for the two most important games of the season.
He was on the ice today with the rest of the team, wearing a regular jersey, which suggests a possible return to play for the final matches of the campaign against the Belleville Senators on Friday and Saturday night.
"The Rocket could get some help for this crucial weekend! It's been just over four weeks since Joshua Roy injured his hand, his absence was then estimated at 4-6 weeks." - BPM Sports

In 40 games with the Rocket this season, the CH's fifth-round pick in 2021 has tallied 13 goals and 32 points in his first professional campaign. He has also played 23 NHL games, earning four goals and nine points.

A Major Challenge for the Laval Rocket

Currently two points away from a playoff spot, the Rocket must win both games to qualify at the very last second.
However, since Belleville still has three games to play, if they win tonight against the Syracuse Crunch, all hopes for the Canadiens' farm team will collapse.
So, let's hope for a Senators loss against the top team in the North division tonight, so that the Rocket can fight for their survival over the weekend by playing two decisive games.
