While the bad news keeps piling up for the Montreal Canadiens, we've finally received some very positive information.
Indeed, the fifth overall pick from the last draft, David Reinbacher, has officially arrived in North America, having participated in his first practice with the Laval Rocket.
Moreover, the defenseman arrived in town just in time, as today the CH's farm team was taking its team photo for the 2023-2024 edition.

Let's just say the Bleu-Blanc-Rouge suits him quite well!
Certainly, fans will undoubtedly be eager to see him in action as he attempts to help Jean-François Houle's team qualify for the playoffs.
Given that the Austrian hasn't played in nearly a month, he might not be in the Rocket's lineup on Friday, but we can expect him to play at least one or two games this weekend.
However, patience will be required with David Reinbacher. Like Juraj Slafkovsky, he will undoubtedly need some time to adjust to North American rinks, as well as to the level of play in the AHL.
Nonetheless, the Montreal Canadiens have a very promising young player on their hands. According to many observers, he has all the qualities necessary to become a top defenseman in the Bettman circuit, as he is still far from reaching his full potential.
Selected in the first round of last year's draft (5th overall), the 19-year-old spent the last two seasons with HC Kloten in the Swiss top division. During his 81 games played in Europe, David Reinbacher scored a total of 4 goals and 29 assists.
