The New Jersey Devils and the Las Vegas Golden Knights completed a significant trade at the end of the draft in Las Vegas.
The Devils relinquished their former 7th overall pick in 2020, Alexander Holtz, sending him to the Las Vegas Golden Knights.
The Knights also acquired goaltender Akira Schmid, who will play behind Jake Allen and newcomer Jakob Markstrom. Earlier in the day, Vegas had also traded goaltender Logan Thompson to the Capitals.
Holtz, who scored 16 goals this season, will benefit from a fresh start with a talented team to rejuvenate his career.
