A player is often linked to the Montreal Canadiens from the Los Angeles Kings. It seems that a resolution could occur shortly.

Once again, the name of forward Arthur Kaliyev is mentioned among potential acquisitions for the Montreal Canadiens.
He is still without a contract for the upcoming season but is a restricted free agent. The Kings seem willing to entertain offers in his case.
Kaliyev has an interesting potential but has yet to fully blossom since his arrival in the NHL. Nevertheless, a fresh start would be beneficial for him.
It would be an intriguing challenge for the Canadiens and Martin St-Louis. In return, the Kings could be interested in second-tier prospects, if you will. Players like Emil Heineman, Florian Xhekaj, or even Filip Mesar could be considered.
Certainly, the Kings will not let Kaliyev go for absolutely nothing in a trade, but the gamble could clearly be worth it.
"A more immediate concern is Arthur Kaliyev's future with the Kings. The 23-year-old winger (RFA) has yet to sign a new contract amid speculation that he could be traded this summer.

Ryan Dixon of Sportsnet believes that Kaliyev's time with the Kings is nearing its end.

Meanwhile, Spencer Lazary and Austin Stanovich of The Hockey News have examined several possible destinations for the young winger, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, New York Islanders, and Colorado Avalanche."
