A Montreal Canadiens forward won't be making friends in Quebec with remarks about financial management in La Belle Province.
During an appearance on an American podcast, Michael Pezzetta didn't mince words describing the frustrating tax situation in Quebec relative to his NHL salary.
He stated on the ''Cam and Strick Podcast'' that he's taxed at 54%, on top of the NHL's 4% escrow. Pezzetta drew comparisons with certain American markets not subject to such taxation.

Michael Pezzetta is still under contract for another season with the Tricolore. The battle for a spot on the fourth line will be fierce, with many wondering if "Pezz" will finish the upcoming season in a Canadiens jersey.
He'll need to come prepared for the next training camp instead of focusing on taxes...
