Gary Bettman, longtime NHL commissioner, recently granted a rare exception to the Florida Panthers by breaking a league rule at their request.
According to "PuckEmpire," Bettman made an unusual exception by allowing two Panthers players to have their names engraved on the Stanley Cup, even though they did not meet the required number of games played and did not fulfill all the usual conditions.
"The NHL made two exceptions for Panthers players to have their names engraved on the Stanley Cup, despite not meeting the games played and not fulfilling the conditions: Jonah Gadjovich, Josh Mahura."
