Earlier this week, videos emerged showing Georges Laraque and Matt Rempe on the ice together.
Laraque took Rempe under his wing to improve his fighting technique, primarily aiming to reduce the risk of serious injuries given Rempe's frequent involvement in physical confrontations.
However, this situation has sparked reactions in recent days. In New York, a journalist criticized Rempe's approach, labeling it a mistake.
Ken Campbell also raised doubts in an article for The Hockey News, expressing concerns about Rempe's inclination to specialize as an enforcer.
Campbell particularly highlights brain-related dangers among other risks.
Georges Laraque responded firmly: "Are you kidding me? The kid just wanted to learn how to protect himself, how does that translate to wanting to be an enforcer? Leave him alone!"
